Despite a hectic first round, both men seem primed and ready for another round of action! Round 2 has now begun! Lesnar and Mir quickly cut the distance between each other. Mir readies a shot that Lesnar sees coming a mile away. Lesnar counters with a surprise leg kick. Mir is momentarily thrown off balance, and as he struggles to adjust his positioning... ...Lesnar rocks him with a straight left to the jaw! Lesnar with a thunderous right for the one-two combination! Mir stumbles backwards as Lesnar plants his feet, preparing for another big blow. But it's not a fist! Lesnar scores with a massive head kick that went right through Mir's attempted block! Mir's head jerks violently to the side as it collides with Lesnar's meaty shin. Mir is on the floor! He's been knocked silly! Lesnar charges Mir. Mir fumbles weakly as Lesnar drags him to the ground. Lesnar powers Mir down to the ground and looks to set up some more feared Ground and Pound. Lesnar prepares a big shot from his massive hands... ...And nails Mir right on the chin! Lesnar postures up for another big bomb as Mir attempts a block. Lesnar powers right through Mir's attempted block and nails him with another big shot! Mir is practically flailing in his attempts to avoid any more damage. Lesnar switches it up with hammerfists! A big hammerfist lands on Mir. Lesnar looking to finish the fight! Another hammerfist! Mir has got to start defending himself! Lesnar prepares what could be a fight-ending blow... But Mir postures up and Lesnar nails him with a downward elbow! Mir turns away in pain as Lesnar looks to continue raining down big shots. But the fight is stopped! Although inadvertant, Lesnar's illegal elbow has caused a time-out! Lesnar tries to get up... And angrily pushes off of Mir's body to get to a standing position. Lesnar walks away as Mir tries to get to his feet. Mir is having some trouble getting to a standing position. Mir shifts to one side... ... In order to get to his knees. Mir shakily gets to his feet... ... And is given five minutes to recover. Mir points to Lesnar... ... And tells him to bring it on! After a five minute hiatus, both men look capable enough to continue. The fight is back on! Both men rush forward. Lesnar plants his feet for another haymaker as Mir prepares a counter-punch. Mir manages to mostly avoid Lesnar's big fist... ... And answers back with a big left hand to the back of Lesnar's ear! Lesnar is twisted around by the force of the blow! Lesnar is on shaky legs! Mir rushes Lesnar. Mir looking for a leg-trip... ... And he hooks the leg! Mir completes the leg-trip! Both men struggle to adjust their positioning... ... And Mir is in a modified full mount, looking to lay down some Ground and Pound! Mir with a big shot to the side of Lesnar's face! Mir looks to be setting up something... He's isolating Lesnar's arm! Mir looks to be going for an armbar! He begins the transition... ... And continues transitioning... ... And he nearly has it locked in! Lesnar tries turning towards Mir to prevent the armbar! Lesnar continues to turn in another display of his amazing strength! Lesnar postures up, but Mir still has a firm hold on that arm! Mir just won't let go of that arm... ... So Lesnar adjusts his positioning... ... And tries to slam Mir! Both men are so sweaty that they lose their grip! Mir falls to the canvas... .... And is now in-between Lesnar's legs! Lesnar twists around... .... Lesnar continues to twist... ... And Mir attempts to get up... ... But Lesnar quickly jumps on him and drags Mir back down to the ground! Mir is in a very dangerous position! Lesnar finished him here back at UFC 100! Mir attempts to scramble and escape... ... But Lesnar smashes the side of Mir's face! Mir is in a lot of trouble! Lesnar looks to continue the Ground and Pound... ... And nails yet another big shot! Lesnar shifts his positioning... ... And takes Mir's back! Lesnar sits up... ... And looks to deliver another crushing fist to the wounded Mir! Right to the side of the head! Mir is almost done! Mir attempts to buck Lesnar off... ... But Lesnar nails him once again! Lesnar can't be stopped! Mir is not defending himself! This fight could be called off! Mir is nearly out of it as Lesnar prepares one final blow. But the round is over! Frank Mir has lasted to the end of Round 2! Lesnar is furious that the match wasn't stopped in time... ... And once again angrily shoves off Frank Mir to get to a standing position, Brock Lesnar, fuming, leaves Frank Mir in a heap. Mir attempts to get up... ... But his first attempt is unsucessful. Mir plants his leg... ... And manages to get to a crouching position. Mir lifts himself up. Mir is bruised and battered, but on his feet! Mir turns to his corner... ... And shakily makes his way over to it as Round 2 comes to a close.
