Does Launch of New Website Signal Possible Event?

Is this a foreshadowing of events to come, or just another effort to expand the UFC viewership?

UFC hasn’t hosted an event in Japan since UFC 29, close to a decade ago. The company has been hungry to break back into the Japanese market ever since they acquired the Japanese-based PRIDE Fighting Championship in 2007, but have been unable to do so.

If this new website is intended to be the first step on the road to a UFC event in Japan, it leaves many questions. Who would be the best headliner? How big of an arena should be booked? Will the Japanese fans welcome the UFC with open arms?

At the very least, this new site shows once again that the UFC is looking to expand its viewership worldwide and further establish itself as the best and most well-known MMA company on the planet.
