anybody looking forward to Backbreaker. PSN Itachi245
Undoubtedly my second-biggest hobby (behind writing in general), I love to play video games. This is a topic for video games in general: what we're looking forward to, what we've been playing, what we've got and what we want to get.
Me, I've got an Xbox 360 and a gaming-quality PC. More often than not I'm on the 360, but I still game the PC every once in a good while. I'm mostly into RPG's, but at heart I love a good video game regardless of what genre it's in.
Most recently I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 and Blue Dragon. When all cylinders are firing, MW2's multiplayer is the most fun I've ever had playing online multiplayer. With friends or perfect strangers it can be an absolute blast.
Blue Dragon deserved a lot more praise than it got, IMO. It's a JRPG down to its very core, and it brings exactly nothing new to the table, but that doesn't stop it from being a thoroughly engrossing experience. Just because a game doesn't innovate doesn't mean it's stuck in the past and refusing to innovate. Everything that Blue Dragon does has been done before, but everything that it does it does VERY well. My penchant for RPG's means that I've grown to embrace level-grinding, but Blue Dragon in particular is one of the rare games where level-grinding is actually fun.
In regards to what's on the horizon, I think I'll be playing FF XIII before too long, and I'm going to try my best to get ahold of Fallout New Vegas on the PC. I'm a massive, MASSIVE Fallout fan and I think New Vegas is going to kick some serious behind.
If anyone ever wants to chat over XBL, or even challenge me to a game or two, my XBL name is pdw2kx.
So, what's everybody playing?

Im most looking forward to UFC 2010, EA MMA, and Skate3
I am playing Skate 2 right now and NBA 2k10 aswell. Just got done playing and beating Need For Speed Shift. I want to buy Forza Motorsport 3 soon. I love Basketball, Skating, Fighting, and Driving games. Thats a big majority of what I play but I did just break out my PS1 and play some crash bandicoot the other day!
I recently started up Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption. There are a few problems in running such an old game on Vista, but ultimately the game is playable aside from some sound hiccups and the fact that I have to delete my save games periodically because I can't overwrite save games.
That said, it's far better now that I tracked down the ages-old official patch that allows for saving anywhere, the major reason I tried and failed to play this game in the past was because I would go dungeon-crawling and be waist-deep into a dungeon only to get killed and have to do the entire thing over again.
Overall, not too shabby a purchase considering I got it from $1.91 at a thrift store.
I just finished Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption.
Excellent, excellent game. Very addicting gameplay and one of the best plots in a game I've played for quite a long time. Also, the soundtrack to the game is simply amazing. I'm actually a little bit sad now that it's over.
For a typical hack 'n slash, and one that is pretty old, I didn't think I'd like this game nearly as much as I did. I'm glad I finally took the time to get through all the "old game" issues and complete the game entirely. It really was a fantastic experience. I'll most likely track down Bloodlines now and see if it measures up.

We don't like YOUR KIND 'round here, son. This is 360 territory.
Anyway, I spent the better part of last night getting my behind handed to me in Modern Warfare 2 because I wanted the Tac Knife, since I like to use the runner class. I proceed to finally get it and, well, it was kinda underwhelming. I had more fun trying to unlock it than actually playing with it. But I guess that's the point of unlocking anything, the hunt is always the funnest part.
