eBay Question/Concern/Frustration!

How long would you usually wait for items on eBay?

Heres my dilemma.... usually I wouldn't even ask, or be concerned, but the guy I bought some figs off of told me LAST Thursday (when I bought them) he would ship out Monday (4/11/11) well I assumed he sent them, but he never put that the item was shipped but sometimes people just don't check that. So I sent an email asking him if he sent them out and Wednesday he sent me a response saying he was packing them up now and would send me a tracking number as soon as he sent them. I figured this meant that day considering I payed for the figs immediately after the auction ended and it had been almost a week. He answered some questions I had about the figs, but since Wednesday I haven't heard anything, no tracking number or anything sent. He doesn't seem to go on eBay a lot because all of the auctions he had up have ended, and he really doesn't HAVE to respond to me but it just seems odd he wouldn't at least let me know whats going on especially since he told me he would send them out last Monday and then Wednesday came and he was packing them up.... whatever... I don't mind waiting but I would like piece of mind that they are coming... especially since I traded my Fan Expo Kimbo for a Machida LE 1 of 100 and the auction I won from this guy had a Fan Expo Kimbo included in it so I want to get a Kimbo back.

I guess my real question would be, in this situation how long would you wait to file a dispute or complaint? I wouldn't even be concerned if he didn't tell me when he would ship them and then didn't ship them that day. I do not believe he is trying to scam me but it's like come on man, I paid immediately for the figures and now I might have to wait ANOTHER week just to get them because he didn't send them out when he should have.... BLAH!

It ended last Thursday night... as in a week before this past Thursday... 4/7/11 I believe

It's only been 9 days. I'd write back and ask for a shipping label and give a deadline, say the 20th, and then if he doesn't, escalate it to a dispute, and see if he sends then, if so dispute over once you receive, if not, then you can get your money back.

Right, which is why I was on the fence... Like I said I wouldn't have even been concerned if he didn't say he would send them out that following Monday, then message me Wednesday saying he was packing them up and would send me a tracking number... It's like, don't message me this stuff if that's not what you are going to do, you know? My real big concern like I said is that I do not have a Fan Expo Kimbo anymore because I figured I'd get the one from this auction so I traded mine for a 1 of 100 LE Machida (which is a trade I am happy about, don't get me wrong) but because I am going for collecting all the figures, having one missing now bothers me haha.

just write him back and give him the deadline, kinda threaten him but in a nice way.

Just explain that you feel he's had enough time, and that you're trying to give him the time, but have to cover your own rear end also.

although it sucks that sometimes it does happen. I waited three weeks for a Torres from a member on here that never came. I got my money back, but it still sucked thinking it was coming and it didn't

Ya, I am going to give him until this Monday to reply and then send him a message giving him a deadline. I am going to be pissed if this doesn't come through though because now that I traded that Kimbo, I need all the figures that are in that lot. Plus that was a good price for all those... Blah... I hate waiting.

Well just got a reply today, he sent them out yesterday so hopefully I'll have them by next week. Pretty stoked.

No I asked him for one though... I don't think he sells a lot of stuff on eBay... I don't have the feeling he is trying to scam me, plus I could get my money back anyway. Just shitty when people don't do stuff by the book and can't respond to messages.... When I sell something I make sure I check my eBay everyday to see if anyone has questions and to let people know I shipped something... amateurs..haha.
