    figure shorts

I heard on Wrestling figs they had an argument about the shorts on the figures and if they should be fabric. What do you guys think fabric or plastic shorts.

I think fabric shorts would make the figures too expensive. Also, they'll probably restrict movement. Jakks did a great job with Gracie's cloth gi, but a gi is a lot different than shorts. For those that play, the shorts would probably slip way too much if they were fabric. Also, it would be a lot harder to get accurate logos, because they would have to be sewn on instead of painted on.

I'm all for fabric ACCESSORIES like fight shirts and fight pants, even hats, but Jakks has been doing a great job of making both the painted-on trunks and the textured trunks fun, simple, accurate, and easy to play with.

Ultimately I don't see the shorts changing to fabric EVER except maybe in some rare instances like rare collector's items or online exclusives, and I honestly prefer it that way.

I'm the one who suggested fabric shorts. I don't see them as being that hard to do. Although with Jakks being who they are...I don't expect them to go the extra mile. Logos wouldn't have to be sewn on. They can do the logos the same way they did the shirts for some of the WWE guys they made. At the very least...the texture on the shorts has to go. Why is this even there? It just doesn't look very good. Getting rid of the texture on the shorts would be a step in the right direction.

i wouldnt mind seeing fabric shorts but i do like the plastic shorts better i just wish the figures legs were a little longer or the shoulders a little smaller so i could do full on triangle chokes with the figures (little off topic but could have something to do withe shorts?)

Well, you still can't do a proper triangle with Anderson, and he doesn't have the shorts.

Let's face it though...Jakks went totally on the cheap with these figures. 3 Body types for 6-7 different weight classes? The same torsos used for welterweights, middleweights & light heavyweights? There is also no way Big Nog & Brock should share the same torso. That is ridiculous. Having said all of that, I would be willing to forgive it all if fabric shorts were used. Just go with a base body and have the fabric shorts. The figures would look amazing. If they cost a bit more...fine with me. The same people paying $10 for these would pay $15.

Just to let you know...I collect these. I am not someone who is just coming here and bitching about something I don't have an interest in. I just don't wanna see Jakks crap all over the UFC like they did with the WWE for 14 years.
