    Retiring from collecting!

Well a bit of a pointless thread really but just to let all you collectors know I will still be on here reading and keeping up to date with everything and if I decide to sell my collection it will be up on here first. I managed to get to series 7 with every figure except cheat hair kimbo and 100 nog oh and the poster figs.

It just sucks I have to stop, I just can't afford it anymore, the price in the uk is just crippling me and I'm the sort of collector that if i don't have every figure released I will never be happy so trying to obtain everyone is just getting to expensive. I guess it's either all or nothing, so if I can't get every figure within a reasonable amount of money I may aswell stop collecting all together. Not to worry. Anyway good luck with everyone's collections, i look forward to seeing all the new figures.

Damn dude that sucks. It's too bad to lose another dedicated collector but I completely understand where you're coming from. Myself and alot of other collectors have the advantage of simply walking to our nearest store and find any and all the figures we need right there at the store without having to pay ridiculous overcharges or shipping fees. So I think if I had to pay extra fees and shipping I would be discouraged enough to stop collecting too.

I wish we could work out a deal where I could send you figures that I find in the stores but unfortunately I feel the shipping charges will still be outrageous. So good luck to you and I hope to still hear good input from you on the forums.

P.S. If you have the ToyFare Chuck figure, I'm gonna call first dibs for Kenny_D for it. I know that's the only figure he needs now and I don't think anyone else wants it more than him.

    It's Showtime!

Haha I think it was Kenny D that emailed me regards my Toyfair chuck a while back so he gets the first offer but to be quite honest I'm not going to make anything on these so I will more than likely just keep them anyway especially chuck being my favorite fighter, and maybe one day catch up on the collection. With being on your average wage in the uk, after my expenses each month I am not left with enough to buy UFC figures and still save and that is where the problem creeps in and at the moment saving has got to take priority. I will hopefully still have input on here and hope to start again one day .

Soon Jakks will start releasing figures that look absolutely amazing and you'll have no choice but to buy at least some of them. That's exactly what happened to me and the WWE Classic Superstars line. I stopped collecting those after Series 7 but every once and awhile they would release a pretty amazing looking Earthquake or Papa Shango figure and I would just HAVE to buy it when I saw them at the stores.

Hmmm unless from now on I can find a job with a significant amount extra in income a month to cover the cost of UFC figures I will have to opt out buying any, I liked the new packaging on series 8 and wanted them badly but this is where I have to draw the line. It's so anoying!

Sorry to hear cash is forcing you to stop mate but i know the feeling being in the uk too.I have every regular figure and decided not to go the exclusive route because of our location.Keep offering your opinions here as i always enjoyed your input and you have your collection to date to enjoy which by any standerds is top notch.Never say never though and maybe a uk fan expo at some point will jump start you again.Adios.Adam.
