    Dan Severn Chase Variant Figure?

A couple of months ago, my brother and I were at a grand opening for a new Toys R Us in Houston, TX. We looked around the store and we stumbled upon a fresh rack of UFC Jakks figures. We wanted to see if they had any new characters that we didn't have. Series 5 was the majority of the figures. As we flipped through the Dan Severn pile, I noticed one that was different. I recognized the figure as an old WWF jakks figure from the 1990's, as I used to play with those as a kid. I thought this must be a great find, or someone replaced the figure as a joke and put it on the shelf. Either way, $12 was worth the laugh for my brother and I. I have searched everywhere online for months and have not seen anyone else mention this figure, so here I am to ask you guys what you think about this figure. The package looks factory sealed, so I don't think anyone could have replaced it outside of the factory. Also, if they took the original figure, why would they put the shirt on this figure then put it back in the package? Wouldn't it be better to take the shirt along with the figure? I AM NOT LOOKING TO SELL THIS EITHER WAY. Anybody know anything about this?

Yep it's exactly that, someone has switched the figure and besides that the boxes are pretty easy to open then close up again.

Yep, a hot air gun or a blow dryer will allow you to take the tape off without a problem. Many people did this with the WWE Jakks figures

LOL!! that is quite funny. Interesting find. But i'm afraid i agree with the other guys, someone has just had a laugh and switched it. Jakks boxes are very easy to open and seal up again. Now, if it was a similar switch in a Round 5 box, that would be better because they are heat sealed boxes. But like i say, intersting find mate.

yea ive seen people do that with the current gi joes too. People buy new figs and switch them with the old ones.

Sometimes people are dumb, they put in an old fig once that was worth more than $25 in box, bought it.
