But let's assume Jakks does indeed cut their losses with UFC line when the agreement expires.

Then the people constantly complaining about every figure they produce on here will start complaining that they aren't producing anymore.

So what's more important having UFC figures and having to deal with the occasional odd decision or poor sculpt. I'll take a crappy Tito Ortiz scan that I have the option not to buy, then not having any options at all.
You have a point; but if Jakks is in the business of making Figs for UFC, then they should know better; you don't just pick a fighter out of a hat and say "O K, let's make him" ya get what I'm saying? I'm sure they sit down and talk about a number of different factors before the final decision is made; so what on earth would make them think this was a good idea? Why make a 2 pack of the fight that was way less significant than the first fight? Especially when people were bitching about making the series 6 Tito with the white trunks! Will we be made to fork over another $22 bucks for the UFC 47 2 pack down the road....

there's no question some strange and bizarre decisions have been made and will continue to be.
i totally agree with you that whose ever running the show for the UFC division @ jakks lacks an understanding of MMA.

they obviously know the stars (that's why we see liddells, lesnars many times over) but i think they've lacked identifying what the true collectors want. Which is relevant because I would think if you can get say 4-5k people strongly behind a product line (ie. will buy everything you produce or at least 80% of it) it can still be successful.

you get that gut feeling 2011 is going to make or break for both jakks and round 5. on the surface they both appear to have issues right now that need to be ironed out. here's hoping they do...

ok seriously how can you not be excited about Tito in the desert camo....i mean we all know that we will get the black shorts that's a given.i was worried that we would get the black ones with chuck and get another one w/black down the line....now if we get any of the Titos on the rumored list we will get the on in black in the legends and the camo w/whit flames with Forrest.

more so jakks than round 5, round 5 sculpts are great so far i think, just think they are rushing it a bit, although atleast they are coming up with new ideas alot lately, versus series, live, pride editions, ce editions ,etc... as some1 said earlier about the contracts, i hope the companies arent panicking and pushing out mediocre fighters incase their contract is almost up.
