I watched MMA off and on, but really started with the first season of TUF. Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite fighter is Chris Leben, so I'd probably say he got me into it.
I guess this is more of a 2 part question. So how long have you been watching MMA and what was the first MMA fight you ever saw that made you fall in love with the sport.
For me it was UFC 34 in 2001. I was invited to a buddy's house for his son's birthday party and he was a big fight fan. He started talking to me about UFC and MMA and I was very intrigued. Since he didn't have any other friends that were interested in UFC or MMA, he was trying to get me to stay so we could watch the event on PPV and I agreed. It was an amazing event. I didn't know who any of the fighters were but my friend was trying to inform me of everyone as the fights took place. First I saw BJ Penn knock out Caol Uno in 10 seconds. Then I saw Matt Hughes win the Welterweight title by powerslamming Carlos Newton. And the main event was Randy Couture pummeling Pedro Rizzo! I was a big WWE fan at the time and all the REAL fighting and action totally caught my attention and I was an instant fan. From that point on I have been watching it religiously!

My first mma event i watched was Pride 15 with my bros at my uncle's house i still remember it like yesterday i was 12 then... first matched i watch was sakuraba vs rampage i wasn't into much of the grappling aspect of the sport but that later changed... at the time i couldn't adjust to the fighters rolling on the ground..takedown, submissions, I was more of a stand up fan i watched pradel serey at a really young age and attended a fight there in my native country which i still loved. posted here if anyone is curious and wanted to watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTBZiCOvfQQ
I stopped watching mma for awhile due to training in pradel serey in real life..which i still do now...i later got into it again during UFC Ultimate Fight Night 5 Leben vs Silva it caught my interest again. but lately not as much. many of the fights have been pretty lackluster. i made a switch been watching it's showtime events, other kickboxing events. still my likeness for mma is still there.
