    General Thoughts on Jon Jones...

With his thorough beating of Shogun, Jon Jones is now the UFC LHW Champ... I would just like some thoughts on what people think of him, his fighting style, his quick rise to the top, etc.

The first time I saw Jon Jones fight, I knew he was going to make it to the top, or at least close. After his complete dismantling of every opponent put in front of him, he is definitely a breed of his own. Now, I am not saying he is one of my favorite fighters, even though I like his style, but no one can deny that this kid is great. People can say what they want about Shogun being past his prime, or Bader being overrated, but the fact is no one has totally dominated either of those guys like Jones did... and he made it look like neither of them were even close to his level. I think the UFC LHW division has found its Anderson Silva/GSP and his domination will last a while. At the same time I think after a few years, cutting weight will become too much for him (he makes all other LHW's look like kids) and he will have to move up to the HW division. But for now I will just enjoy watching him (and his style) dominate the LHW division for a while.

the guy is sick, I have to say Yes, My Favorite current UFC Fighter!
What can I say, already Champ at a very young age, seldom seen unique fighting style, flashy elbows & knees, throws, and his hands are pretty leathal too.
Destroyed Shogun and made it look easy, as of every opponet yet.
Who can beat him? Maybe Machida,Hughes,Rampage

Rashad has the tools to beat him.

I do agree with this. Rashad makes great guys look bad. It is still hard to know though, while Jones has run through everyone put in front of him, until he fights a few more higher level fights you can't count anyone out.

Jones is still young and because he's young he still has that mentality that he's invincible which makes for a very dangerous opponent. If you truly believe that no one can touch you then no one will be able to. But as soon as someone comes around and gives Jones all they got and actually tests him to the limit, that "Godmode" that jones has will be gone. I like the dudes style buy he has a cocky attitude, which is understandable since he's young. But I honestly don't think that there is anyone in the LHW division currently that can take that title away. It's going to take a big mistake by jones to lose that belt to the likes of Rashad Evans or Phil Davis. I'm interested to see if one of the smaller heavyweights like Brendan Schaub or Stefan Struve would be interested in moving down to compete at LHW because Jon Jones is a heavyweight who is fighting at LHW and until someone else does the same, that belt will stay around his waist.

I'm more interested to see what happens between Phil Davis & Rashad, i like this match-up and i think it's a great replacement HOWEVER, the fight could only go two ways...AN ABSOLUTE SLEEPER with Phil dominating Rashads wrestling and nut-hugging him for the whole fight...OR...Rashad perfects his takedown defence and give Phil Davis an all out stand up war!

Rashad by TKO. Rashad has better wrestling better standup, and faced better opponents. Im just glad rashad is getting an ok warmup fight to shake the yr layoff rust before fighting bones.

I wouldnt be suprised if Phil Davis runs right through Rashad though, so i guess expect the UNEXPECTED!
