I bought this at target yesterday and it's clearly not Thiago Sliva. It has Evan Tanner's shorts minus a few logos but it is definitely not his body or head. The box has never been opened and its clearly a figure I have never seen before and can not identify
Sorry, I do not know how that ended up happening.. Kind of looks like a big headed Frankie Edgar, but that is def. not Silva. You going to keep it? Not asking for it btw, just curious.
I ran into something similar, though not as bad. Was at Toys 'R Us today and saw this line of exclusive 4 inch figures of fighters. One I wanted to get, but decided not to, was a figure of Wanderlei Silva, but the box read and displayed Kimbo Slice on it.. thought that was a bit odd.
most likely a result of re-packagers. they buy a new figure and replace it with an old one they don't want anymore. iv'e even seen them do some mild customizing to make the figure resemble the picture on the box more. they return it to the store saying they don't want it or that its broken and get their money back.
you really have to pay attention when buying them. in my teen years i stocked the action figure department at Toys R US. way to many times the girls at the front desk would accept these re-packaged figures and send them back to me to put on the shelves.
sorry on all my different posts, but after further study of the pictures it looks like you have a painted Michael Bisping head on a Karo Parisyan body.
